The main trail is approximately 4 km round trip with some roots, stairs, and uneven terrain. It is considered moderate and manageable for most travelers at a comfortable pace. Good walking shoes are recommended.

The color is natural. At the Teñidero, two rivers merge and create a light-scattering effect that makes the water appear bright turquoise. There is no dye or artificial coloring.
